SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!

But where is Wagons of Steel? We were all done by the end of the second round. Brutus and Mark did their jobs but Toby Lang and the Whale did it better once again. Toby's an old friend but you would never know it by the way he beats on all of us at the race track. Troy fared a bit better, getting past Brian Thompson's SS/MA Mustang in the first round before losing to Steve Shwab the next time up.

As far as my heads up with Casey Plaizier goes..check out the Youtube of me winning the Wally in Medford heads up against the same car, then driven by Tom Gaynor. Back then we could work on the car enough to be competitive but oh how the mighty have fallen. We were feeling pleased with ourselves just for being in the show. We did not have nearly enough for a heads up. We were at least .3 slower than every other C/SA car there. Needless to say, Mr. Plaizier did his job and dispatched me with ease. I was a spectator by ten in the morning.

But even though we got spanked early we had a blast at the NW Nats. We had lots of friends and family in the pits. The weather was perfect. Unlike last year, I brought my wagon home running, which is huge. I made a joke to someone about drag racing a Steinway and it's funny because it's true. We'll pick up the pace before the Divisional at Seattle on August 17&18.
