This is what happens when the head of a valve comes off at the end of the quarter mile. The damage is enough to make me want to throw up in the nearest trash can. The state of the art custom piston is destroyed of course, along with one of it's brothers. Even more heart breaking is the total destruction of one of our super rare "518" Max Wedge heads. This was our best (and only) motor and now it's badly wounded and completely torn down at Dvorak's shop in Waldo Florida and the season has already started.
This is a very challenging situation, to say the least. The NW Nationals and Sonoma are coming up in July and I really want to make them.
